Monhegan on My Mind

Filed In Travel

I had thought that this would probably be the first year in a long time that I would not be able to make it to Maine to paint, primarily because I have recently moved to Colorado which is much further away with so many things to paint (actually a bit overwhelming) and also because of the horrible economy combined with already having too many travel plans anyway….but after my recent trip to New England I’m reminded that I must get back to Monhegan Island, ME to paint the rocky coast and crashing waves and the places that seem so familiar to me….and thankfully the economy does seem to be improving…Either way it only makes sense to paint what you’re inspired by, so I think I’ll just swing thru Maine from my next trip to the Adirondacks….look how easy it is to convince myself to travel….and maybe I’ll even get back in time to paint the changing Aspens in late September. See you along the highway.
