I came across this quote a while back and it pretty much sums up one of my philosophies on painting that i have always tried to express, whether successful or not. Paint thick and strong with confidence like you mean it and know what you’re doing and people will believe what you have to say.
A similar analogy is the musician that works hard and has something to say quite often being heard loud above those with a perfect voice but nothing of their own to say.
