Back from Apalach

Filed In Travel

I just returned from America’s great Plein Air Paint-out in Apalachicola. It was a teriffic week….seafood was incredible! It was great just catching up with friends I haven’t seen in a few years and making many new friends. And it just seems like I find more incredible scenery to paint everytime I go down there. Good Times!! So here are a few of the photos I managed to take along the way. I will be posting a lot more photos on facebook soon if you want to check back there.

This is one of the incredible sunsets you get from Cape San Blas.

These are a few boats at Scipio Creek Marina in Apalachicola.

On Wednesday the artist were each teamed up to teach a local high school student who was interested in learning to paint.

On Friday there is a big TGIF Party!...A great time for the artist because we are done painting and can finally relax and don’t have to worry about the big final event until Saturday night.

This is my upstairs wall where we select our three favorite paintings to be judged by our peers. I was happy to see an early red dot with a painting missing.

This is me with a few of the other artist on Sunday after it was all over. A bit tired but relaxed because the week had finally come to a close. Then later that night, Sandra, one of the many great host that week, had all the artist over for one last get together (sorry no pics), which made for a great ending to an incredible week. What a geat time! I definitely want to go back again next year. Maybe I’ll see you there. -B
